Commercial Real Estate Financing

Recommended for Credit Analysts, Underwriters and Commercial Bankers of all levels.

For most banks, commercial real estate is one of the largest portions of the credit portfolio. It is also one of the most intricate and difficult types of financing to get right. This course details the commercial real estate financing process including assessing the ownership structure, what to look for, where the pitfalls might be as well as its impact on the type of financing offered. But that is just the start. The type of real estate is critical to the assessment. There will be eight types of real estate that will reviewed, pointing out the key factors in what to look for, credit policy direction, cash flow analysis and structure considerations.

We will also be walking through the construction draw process to cover all the bases, what forms are required, what they look like and what they tell you. We will look at the appraisal and title process as well as set up an informal schedule for ordering the key information so that the process goes smoothly. This is a must attend course for any lender or analyst that works with real estate financing.

THIS COURSE WILL COVER:

  • Review of issues to be aware of, cash flow analysis and financing structure considerations on Owner Occupied, Medical Use, Office, Retail, C&I, Multifamily, Specialty and Subdivision/Condo financing.
