Real estate lending is often the most difficult type of lending to do right. There are numerous challenges in financing real estate, not the least of which is understanding the various types of real estate. This course walks through underwriting and structure of construction financing, investment real estate, investment real estate, multifamily, residential development as well as specialty use. We will walk through the cash flows, structure and appraisal considerations. The course also delves into various ownership structures of the real estate which are crucial in managing the credit risk by the lendeThis is the foundational class that does require experience in understanding financial statements, basic loan structuring as well as credit analysis skills.
PARTICIPANTS: Recommended for Credit Analysts, Underwriters and Commercial Bankers of all levels.

PRESENTER: Brad Stevens is the founder of Stevens Risk Management, LLC which specializes in credit training and consulting for both the finance and manufacturing industry. He has over 30 years of experience in banking ranging from building strong credit portfolios as a banker, leading both lending and credit departments, as well as navigating banks through tough credit times. Brad brings a unique hands-on experience to his training sharing real world examples that resonate with those in attendance at presentations.
