Many cash flow courses focus on constructing historical UCA® format cash flow statements and assessing the borrower’s historical cash flow. However, all business bankers must be able to forecast the future cash flow generation abilities of their borrowers, because it’s ultimately their future cash flow that repays their debt.
In this seminar, we will cover:
PARTICIPANTS: This course is appropriate for anyone who analyzes business loan requests or creates loan proposals. It deals with basic principles for projecting financial statements, with a particular emphasis on cash budgets and cash flow statements. It assumes that you are currently familiar with both historical cash flow analysis and financial statement analysis, and it is essentially the first step in the loan structuring process, since you can’t determine a reasonable loan structure until you have determined the borrower’s actual financing needs in the future.
INSTRUCTOR: John Reik of John Reik & Associates, a Minnesota based business training and consulting firm. John has presented numerous RMA seminars and has been a lecturer and Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Minnesota for over 39 years. He also was senior trainer and manager of Credit and Finance Education for U.S. Bank for 8 years.
ITEMS TO BRING: Pencils & Calculator.
