Take the next step of looking at the cash health of a firm. This 3-part course does a deep dive into where the cash goes within a company. Assessing the true cash flow position is more than just searching the financial statements. It requires taking into account the impact of management decisions, growth, and sensitivity analysis regarding all the core cash drivers of the firm, and measuring the impact of sustainable growth.

This is an advanced course for experienced lenders and analysts - It provides the tools to measure, forecast and assess exactly how much cash will be sidelined or recovered with various decisions. Real world case studies are used so the attendees have examples of how the tools work so they can apply the concepts back at the office.

Course Coverage:

  • Advanced analysis of the core cash drivers, cash to cash cycle, cash cycle and the impact each will have on the cash available for the company to operate.
  • Introduces the use of Sensitivity Analysis and Sustainable Growth models to pinpoint the actual amount of cash to be tied up or freed up based on management and marketplace factors.
  • The building and utilization of a cash budget is presented to assist in determining the exact timing of cash receipts or payments which result in determining the bleed rate in the firm.
  • Use of two real world case studies, building on them throughout the course to apply the knowledge that is shared and provide a basis application upon completion of the course.

Recommended Participants: Credit Analysts, Underwriters and Commercial Bankers with experience beyond three years and have completed Cash Flow Analysis, Traditional Cash Flow, UCA and Global

Needed Items: Pen/Pencil, Calculator, Fully Charged Lap and access to zoom

A minimum of 6 participants is required to hold this course.

BRAD STEVENS is the founder of Stevens Risk Management, LLC which specializes in credit training and consulting for both the finance and manufacturing industry. He has over 30 years of experience in banking that included leading two banks out of troubled credit positions, identifying the deteriorating credits, working directly or with lenders in rehab and exit strategies as well as rebuilding the credit cultures to avoid future credit problems. As a banker Brad built strong credit portfolios based on the core approaches that he now shares in his training programs. Brad brings a unique hands on experience to his training sharing real world examples that resonate with those in attendance at presentations.   • Attendees must complete 2 surveys: The 1st survey will be sent immediately after the last session on Thursday and the 2nd survey will be sent the 1st of May.

Cancelation Policy

Cancellations will be not be refunded unless the instructor cancels the course.  If participant is unable to attend, the registration fee can be applied to a future RMA-MN local course.  Substitutions are allowed as long as the chapter administrator is notified 24 hours prior to the course, however any difference in the applicable registration fee will be requested.
